German I - 95500
German I focuses on the key areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in German, as well as the culture in German-speaking countries. Each lesson introduces new vocabulary and grammar concepts through listening comprehension, speaking, and writing activities. Simple grammatical structures (present tense) are practiced in innovative and interesting ways with a variety of learning styles in mind. The course has been aligned to meet all state standards.

The main goal of this course is for students to develop, on a daily basis, receptive and productive skills that will allow them to communicate efficiently in German. Vocabulary and grammatical (past tense) structures will be more complex.

The main goal of this course is for students to develop, on a daily basis, receptive and productive skills that will allow them to communicate efficiently in German. Vocabulary and grammatical structures (all other tenses and mood) will be increasingly complex.

AP German Language and Culture - 95540
The AP German Language course has been designed to prepare students for the AP Exam. The course is designed around the 6 themes: Global Challenges, Science and Technology, Contemporary Life, Personal and Public Identities, Beauty and Aesthetics, and Families and Communities. Students will be assessed in a variety of ways that are focused on Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational modes of communication. This course is conducted almost entirely in German and students are expected to communicate in German.
