Through the analysis of various cultural materials, this course will take a deep dive into the varying identities of Heritage Spanish speakers and the influence of language on these identities. Students will read various forms of literature, including short stories, poems, newspapers, magazines and novels in order to further develop their analytical skills. Common errors in spelling, accents, and various grammatical concepts will be covered in class. Students will also be able to expand their writing, speaking and researching skills through writing essays, poems and autobiographies.
