Letter from Dr. Rex Corr, Principal

Welcome To Castle View High School

Letter From The Principal

Dear Castle View Students and Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand our Course Guide. This guide
has been prepared to help you plan your academic program in your time at CVHS. In
the pages that follow, you will find information to help you plan for 2019-2020, and the
remainder of your high school career.

Students and parents are encouraged to work together to develop a four-year plan
that best prepares a student for their targeted post-secondary option. Your counselor,
advisement teacher, as well as Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Science, and
World Language teachers will also prove valuable resources in assuring students
register for courses that meet their individual skill level.

As you make your decisions, please keep the following important factors in mind:
beginning with the class of 2021, students in the state of Colorado must demonstrate
college and career readiness via one of the approved methods. A menu of those
methods is located on the Douglas County School District Graduation Requirements,
which can be found can be found on page 11. The courses you select will directly effect
the classes we offer for next year, so please pay careful attention to your selections.

As always, we are excited to work with you in our ongoing partnership. At Castle
View, we aim to provide meaningful relationships, relevant learning experiences, and
a rigorous academic environment in order to provide the optimal experience for every
student. Should you have questions, or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to
contact us at (303) 387-9000.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rex Corr,

Principal
