Concurrent Enrollment/ACC Courses

DCSD offers many concurrent enrollment course opportunities for our high school students. All of these courses are taken in our high schools with current DCSD high school teaching staff members who are also certified by the community college or university crediting the course. Students who pass concurrent enrollment classes with a grade of C or better generate a college/university transcript with those courses. To learn more about these courses, click here.

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Courses taught by Douglas County teachers
  • Available to all Douglas County School District Students
  • Course taught during regular school day hours
  • Earn concurrent credit (DCSD and Community College college credit)
  • College Tuition savings by providing college credit at no charge to the student

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT COSTS

  • Students will purchase required textbook(s)
  • A minimal registration fee
  • Additional fees may apply to some courses and are subject to change

Class @ACC - available for 12th grade students

 Rising Seniors can also apply to take 1 class per semester at ACC after they have exceeded all CE and AP offerings through DCSD.  Current junior students must meet with their high school counselor to complete the official application before March 8, 2022.

  • CNG 1032 - Network Security Fundamentals
  • ENG 1022 - English Composition II: GT-CO2
  • MAT 2561 - Differential Equations with Engineering Applications: GT-MA1
  • NUA 1001 - Nurse Aide Health Care Skills
  • NUA 1070 - Nurse Aide Clinical Experience
  • NUA 1071 - Advanced Nurse Aide Clinical (*note: completion of these 3 NUA classes qualifies a students for a Nurses Aide Certificate)
  • PHY 1111 – Physics: Algebra-Based I: With Lab: GTSC1
